Anna Fryazeva, 17, a resident of Saratov, claims that well-known rap singer Kirill Tolmatsky (Detsl) made impregnated her while she was in Moscow visiting her first cousin, Zheltaya Gazeta wrote. She said she plans to initiate a paternity case against Detsl because she does not want her future baby to live in poverty while having so rich a father. Detsl categorically denied Fryazeva’s claims, saying she must either be psychologically disturbed or just hunting for money. He stated that he would have never denied the baby was his if it really were. Detsl added that such incidents are the downside of being popular. His father, famous producer Alexander Tolmatsky, said he had seen quite a few of his son’s female admirers with this "exaggerated fantasy." Detsl simply could not have fathered that many children, he noted, and added that he would be only happy if Kirill made him a grandfather.

Pop-singer Zhanna Aguzarova said she has gotten overwhelmed by motherly feelings and is considering having a child, Komsomolskaya Pravda wrote. At a press conference held after a St. Petersburg concert, Aguzarova stated that pure Russian blood flows in her veins, but that she will have a child only with a Celt. Replying to compliments about her good looks, Aguzarova boasted about having the narrowest shoulders in show biz and said that if somebody should manage to find a female singer with a figure as perfect as hers, she will pay that lucky person a prize of $1,000.

Editor of the Russian edition of Playboy Artemiy Troitsky recently presided over the jury at the Potselui — 2001 (Kiss — 2001) contest held in one of Moscow’s art clubs. According to Zhizn, the whole event would have been quite boring if not for the antics of Satirikon actress Lyubov Tikhomirova. She invited Troitsky for a dance and then stripped him down to his underwear, slipped her hand inside and started making jeering comments about the size of his male organ. At first, Troitsky was very angry and demanded compensation for the damage inflicted on his reputation. The recent wedding of the former soloist of girl band Blestyashchiye Olga Orlova and Gryozy nightclub-owner Alexander Karmanov eclipsed the recent one between opera-singer Nikolai Baskov and Svetlana Shpigel, Express Gazeta wrote. The wedding culminated in the Metropol Hotel’s restaurant where sturgeon caviar was supplied at the amount of 60 grams per head (at Baskov’s wedding it was only 30 grams per head). Some other totals included: 210 guests, 100 performers, 35 waiters and $12,000 worth of flowers. The newlyweds spent the next day in a super-elite countryside club stuffed with 16th-century furniture, silver utensils, platinum-plated dishes and Flemish paintings. And a gypsy band, two troikas and a live bear (brought from the circus for the occasion) met them at the porch. The bear stood at attention, his right forepaw raised up in a gesture of greeting.

KIRKOROV GETS A UN MISSION

Pop-star Philip Kirkorov has arrived in the United States to do more than just give a guest performance. He has been given the honorable mission of UN Goodwill Ambassador, Mir Novostei reported. He was awarded the title at a ceremony held on Feb. 23 "as an internationally recognized talented artist capable of going through state borders disseminating peace, kindness, light, faith and hope for a better future, uniting peoples of different countries, cultures and religions."

He was also told that the position, though very honorable, does not involve a salary, paid vacations or other bonuses or perks. "I consider that the title I’ve been awarded confirms once again that my songs serve for good, love and peace and unite peoples throughout the world," Kirkorov said.

ALIBASOV DANCED WITH KINGPINS

‘A performer is only a prostitute who should entertain everyone without discrimination," Mir Novostei quoted the Na-Na band’s producer, Barry Alibasov, as saying. "When on stage, a real performer should give himself away completely, both mentally and physically. This is my point of view." In an interview with Mir Novostei Alibasov said the band readily agrees to perform on private requests and charges in the range of $8,000 to $15,000. He admitted that once, at the Radisson-Lazurnaya Hotel in Sochi, the band had performed for a Mafia gathering, but denied having connections with organized crime. Asked about his private life, he said he has been married three times but neither of his official marriages produced any children. His son, also named Barry, 14, was born from Alibasov’s common-law marriage with Yelena Uronich. Barrys Sr. and Jr. live together and in harmony. Barry Jr. likes to experiment with bass guitar.
