French comic Pierre Richard, 67, has won the love of millions both in his home country and in Russia and is particularly well-known for his roles in the movies "Les fugitifs" and "Le jouet" and in the series "Le grand blond avec une chausseure noire."
In addition to being a movie actor, Richard does a lot of acting on stage, but many Russian admirers of his talent for a long time could only dream of seeing him perform in a Moscow theater.
Now their dream is coming true: This veteran of comedy will be performing in the play "Richard's Passions" in Moscow's Estrady Theater on Oct. 5 and 6 at 7 p.m.
The play is a drama and will be performed in French, but one of the lead roles will be played by a Russian actor in Russian. The producers have not disclosed the actor's name but are keeping it as a surprise.
As well as doing everything his audiences will expect of him singing, dancing and laughing Richard will play himself, telling the story of his life, creativity and love as well as some of the things that have troubled his soul throughout his life.
And even though he will be speaking in French, the orchestra which includes his two sons will help to convey his emotions to the audience through music.
As if that isn't enough, Muscovites are being promised even more: The famous French comic will try to do things he has never done before, including an acrobatic stunt.
