Whether you have just graduated from university or are merely dissatisfied with your present job, we are here to help you get your career off the ground. For many people, job hunting is like a walk in the dark, because they don’t understand the job descriptions advertised in the press. Many job titles don’t translate into Russian. That is why we have chosen to provide you with a weekly job-description column, where we will analyze the skills and responsibilities of a particular post or profession. We hope this information will help you avoid making any mistakes when choosing your future career. Prior to launching The Leader, we went out onto the streets and asked people what they thought a sales manager does. The results were shocking; only one person out of 30 had a good idea as to the responsibilities of a sales manager. In future issues, we will look at the work of sales managers, marketing managers and advertisers. This week, we will be taking an overview of the work of designers. Please feel free to contact us with any queries or suggestions, and we will do our best to respond to you in a subsequent issue.
