DJ name: Re-disco

Real name: Denis Medvedev

Brief life story: At different times Denis Medvedev was a member of the rock bands Nom, Prepinaki and Strannye Igry and ska-band Dva Samolyota from St. Petersburg. He began DJing under the name Re-disco in the mid-1990s in the St. Petersburg techno club Nora, which was established by the members of the Dva Samolyota band. Using his collection of old Soviet records, Medvedev supplied grooves to "Diskomport," the Dva Samalyota-hosted show on the short-lived techno radio station PORT FM in 1997. Currently, he spins in popular Petersburg clubs Griboyedov and Par. His Thursday U.S.S.R. Disco parties at Griboyedov are a hit - a kind of St. Petersburg version of Moscow's Thursday parties at Propaganda hosted by DJ Sanches.
