
The Sirena seafood restaurant turned 10 on June 26. To celebrate the anniversary, patrons were treated to various party favors, surprises and presents over 10 days, from June 21 until June 30. As the first project of successful restaurateur Arkady Novikov, some see Sirena as a guide to the history of the restaurant business in modern Russia.
The highlight of the restaurant's anniversary celebrations was its specialty dish, "Zakuska rybaka" (Fisherman's Snack), made of potatoes and sturgeon caviar, and also such menu picks as escargot in mushroom caps, assorted fish pieces with mushrooms and vegetables, and vareniki (dumplings) with cherries and cream.
