The question of how to wear your hair is just as important as any other summer fashion consideration. Your head isnt just for thinking but also for making people think about you. To make the decision easier and to avert possible disasters, we have asked a hairstylist with impeccable taste, Sergei Prityka, to comment on this summers coiffure collection.
"It is really funny when some salon advertises its collection of summer hairdos," Prityka began, shaking his head, "because these are not just haircuts, but images. It is the hairstylists job to choose an image for the client that suits both the client and the hairstylist. It should be a symbiosis of desires!"
Healthy hair is a prerequisite for any beautiful hairdo. How good your hair looks is closely connected to the general state of your health. Of all the haircare products available, preference should be given to those that work to restore your hairs natural structure. Art-director of New Forms beauty salon Irina Barinova recommends products from French label Secret Gardens Botanical Care line. These products include Masque Richese Intense with Passion Flower oil for dry or damaged hair and Intense Hydration Oil Treatment with essential oils in ampoules.
"Many clients think that it is enough to use a specific product only once to achieve the desired result," Barinova said. "But it is not that easy. Such products should be used on a regular basis, of course, if there are no contraindications," she added.
In a word, modern hairstyle trends are based on simple lines. Stylist and designer Lanna Kamilina capitalizes on the cascade technique that imparts natural volume to medium-length hair. Such haircuts are flexible and can be styled in different ways.
"It is not enough to wash your hair frequently," Prityka noted, "Hair needs to be cut well too. A good haircut imparts flexibility and expressiveness."
According to him there are two prevalent themes today: romantic and aggressive. A romantic haircut features locks and curls in various combinations, while an aggressive one is all disheveled, tousled and irregular.
Modern haircuts permit some reshaping, which might be particularly helpful if you want your hairstyle to match your outfit and your mood. Such reshaping does not require any sophisticated or lengthy procedures. "It will be enough to alter just a few lines, accentuating this or that element or curl," Prityka explained.
"For hair reshaping, we particularly recommend products from the Shaper hair collection from the American label Sebastian," Barinova said. With the help of a mousse and a hairdryer, it is possible to achieve a voluminous effect and soft hold without cementing the hair, and a flattening fluid is used to impart the "ironed hair" effect and works particularly well with dry hair.
The inexpensive French label Yves Rocher offers a wide variety of protective and moisturizing products that are used in the beauty salon Floranna on Tverskaya Ul. According to Floranna stylist Tatyana Artemyeva, Yves Rocher shampoos are very gentle and moisturizing, preventing hair from dehydrating. Another good haircare product for the summer is Yves Rocher moisturizing and recuperating hair mask that alleviates the effects of ultraviolet irradiation.
Regarding coloring, Prityka maintains there is a full range of choice, though he notes that blond and various blond tints will be the most trendy this season. The Wella Trend Vision 2003 Graphic Elegance line features various colors from cold white to elegant black.
Now, with your lovely new hairstyle youre completely ready for summer. Dont miss a moment of it!
