RIGA, Latvia – History was made at this year when British duo Jemini failed to garner even one point at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, crowning them "the first Britons to receive the ignominy of nil points," wrote Ananova news.

Liverpudlian duo – Chris Cromby, 21, and Gemma Abbey, 20 – returned from a disastrous night where their song, "Cry Baby," failed miserably among all European audiences.

Jemini’s failure sparked a debate about whether Europe’s TV-watching public had vented anti-British feeling over the Iraq war, or whether the band truly deserved to come last, reported Ananova news.

The pair, who released "Cry Baby" as a single two days after their complete failure, touched down at Heathrow Airport, hoping for more support back home.

BBC News reported Gemma as saying, "From the start we honestly thought we’d win it, we were so confident in every aspect – the performance, the clothes, the choreography."

Despite their failure, Jemini has no plans to stop making music and promoting their single "Cry Baby" in the coming months.
