Pop singer Masha Rasputina threw a big party in one of Moscow’s restaurants to herald and celebrate her return to the big stage, the weekly Mir Novostei wrote. Moreover, she publicly announced that now she wants everybody to address her as "Superstar."
The event drew in some 50 paparazzi and the Superstar held a small press conference. First she denied the dirty rumor about her being detained by the police who mistook her for a prostitute and then she went on complaining about piracy in the music business. "If I had been paid $1 per each CD sold like stars in the U.S. are paid, I would have been much better off," she noted.
The party continued in a playful fashion with Rasputina performing and composer Kai Metov providing the accompaniment. The only embarrassment was when pop singer Shura, apparently wanting to compliment Rasputina’s figure, said she could make a good career in the porno industry.
