Pop star Alsou Safina has turned 20, the daily Zhizn wrote. Her birthday party was arranged in the Shokolad restaurant, and of the roughly 100 guests who attended were pop stage veteran Lev Leshchenko, pop singer Grigory Leps, impersonator Vladimir Vinokur and showman Alexander Tsekalo. Also there were Alsou’s friends from the United Kingdom who arrived in Moscow especially for the occasion.
The birthday girl was dressed in a marvelous yellow suit and she greeted each guest in person as they arrived.
The restaurant’s anteroom was heaped with flowers and presents, including paintings, jewelry and home appliances, from which Alsou immediately picked up a pair of ring-shaped silvery earrings, put them on and wore them till the end of the party.
But the party’s high point came when, to everyone’s, including the birthday girl’s, surprise, Hollywood star Steven Seagal showed up together with an entourage of some 10 people. Catching sight of him, Alsou screamed with joy: "Seagal!"
As Zhizn found out, Seagal’s appearance at the party wasn’t just a coincidence: The idea was Alsou’s father’s, but he didn’t tell his daughter because he wanted to give her a surprise.
Seagal climbed on stage and made a brief speech in English saying that he was happy to bid such a famous singer a "Happy Birthday" and wish her health, luck and happiness.
