
MOSCOW - The Russian government will not be reshuffled, Russian President Vladimir Putin has told journalists speaking on the board of Peter the Great guided missile cruiser in the Barents Sea. Putin believes that nothing changes better for the country with personnel shifts, Mayak radio reported. According to Putin, one should cooperate with people he works together, make them work and enable them to achieve their full potential.
Rumors regarding the forthcoming reshuffling arose in May, when certain mass media released information on the possibility of Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov’s dismissal. On May 18, the cabinet refuted the talks.
Putin is watching joint Russian-Chinese military exercise. War games titled “Peace Mission 2005” are carried out within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on the territories of the two countries on August 18-25. Up to 10,000 servicemen will take part in the exercise. The exercise involves Russian long-range aviation and military aircraft, strategic missile carriers, long-range bombers, remodeled fighters and airlifters. 140 ships will also take part in the exercise, submarine chasers among them.
