Motorhead, one of the heaviest rock bands of the universe, is giving a concert for its new album "We Are Motorhead" at DK Gorbunova on Dec. 3. In the title song of a disc that surpasses such classics as "Ace of Spades" and "Orgazmatron" in terms of vigor and might, Lemmy Kilmister sings: "We are Motorhead. We were born to kick your ass." These artless words could well serve as an epigraph to everything the band has created.
Motorhead has been producing energetic pieces that are absolutely undistinguishable from each other for almost 30 years. Nevertheless, there's hardly anyone who would dare to accuse the two-meter tall, lop-eared Lemmy Kilmister, of having stopped innovating. First of all, he can't stand that sort of criticism and could well respond with violence. Second, many take this lack of innovation as a kind of rebellion all to itself. For Kilmister, writing and performing his own songs is almost a physiological act, like eating, drinking and defecating. Understand that, switch your brain off, and you will definitely join the ranks of Motorhead fans.
