The government approved payments to student interns at federal medical institutions working with coronavirus patients.
“The draft resolution is aimed at the implementation of state social support for students working to provide medical care during the spread of the coronavirus infection,” according to a statement from the Cabinet.
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to pay an additional 7-10 thousand rubles a month to medical students who work with coronavirus patients.
Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced on November 27 that more than 60 thousand university students will receive a payment of 10 thousand rubles in November and December, and more than 5 thousand college students will receive a payment of 7 thousand rubles.
