Mpemba Paradox: When Hot Meets Cold

It’s-49 in Siberia for the first time in 100 years. On this occasion, the locals decided to launch a challenge. They swing hot water outside to exhibit the Mpemba effect, a phenomenon that makes hot water freeze faster than cold water under similar cooling conditions. This effect is also sometimes called Mpemba paradox because water must go through lower temperatures while cooling, and takes longer to cool than at lower temperatures.
